Fireboss

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FireBoss is responsible for Pre-shift/on-shift examinations underground to ensure the working areas are safe from hazards. This may include the intake travelways, working sections and faces, intake and return escapeways, beltline and other working areas. The FireBoss may also be responsible for the weekly examinations in areas that are less traveled.

Requirements

Candidates must have excellent safety and attendance records. Must have a minimum of 2 years mining experience with Utah Fireboss certification. Electrical and Mine Foreman certifications are preferred, but not required.

Interested applicants must also have up-to-date 32-hour training, be capable of regularly lifting 50 pounds and work rotating shifts and weekends as assigned.
